Mandala of Merit

We are in the homestretch! Thanks to your generosity and hard work, the construction is reaching its last phase. We have come so far from when Kunzang Palchen Ling was just a vision and together we are making Bardor Rinpoche’s vision into reality. KPL is a place for all to meet and gather vast merit, which will benefit us, the environment and all beings. A wholehearted thank you for all that’s been accomplished so far.

Here’s what’s been accomplished to date:

  • 2015-2016: Completion of Buddha statue; Alarm system and HVAC installations; Elevator installed and operational; New automatic generator transfer switch installed; Retreat rooms completed (second floor, lower level); Floor installations completed (second floor, lower level); Doors and windows installed and trimmed (second floor)
  • 2017-2018: Bathroom components installations; Interior painting; Trim work; Stairwells; Lama kitchen completion; Guru Rinpoche cherry wood floor installation; Front porch bluestone tile installation; Completion of Buddha’s throne;

  • Upcoming 2019: Landscaping project; Completion of Guru Rinpoche shrine room (upper level); and Finalizing Construction Phase

We don’t have far to go. Our next goal involves landscaping the property, the completion of the Guru Rinpoche shrine room and final construction details. We are hoping to raise $100,000 toward this last stage.

Landscaping on the KPL property will include a variety of trees and plants to provide a natural habitat for area wildlife as well as a relaxing, natural surroundings for visitors.

The Guru Rinpoche shrine located in the upper level will house 30 statues, each approximately 16”-18”, which includes the 25 disciples of Guru Rinpoche, disciples of Terchen Barway Dorje, and various deities. The statues will be housed in a very unique and traditional cabinetry, a tribute to the Barway Dorje lineage.

We are truly grateful to everyone’s immense commitment and perseverance through these long years. In Bardor Rinpoche’s words:

Supporting a dharma center is different from working in a company in that it is done without self. However one can assist in serving the Dharma — be it financially, mentally or physically — is an act that causes purification and generates positive accumulation for yourself, or in dedication to family and loved ones. We ask for your continued support as we enter our final phase with landscaping and completion of the Guru Rinpoche shrine.

We ask you to consider us in your end-of-year giving and join us in our next phase in completing Kunzang Palchen Ling, your Mandala of Merit.

In the Dharma,
Kunzang Palchen Ling
