A Letter of Solace from the Barom Kagyu Buddhist Association

Translation

The supreme incarnation of the glorious Barom Kagyu, The Third Bardor Rinpoche, the Lord Refuge Karma Drupgyu Tenpay Nyima, dissolved his mind into the dharmadhātu on April 1, 2021 in the United States of America. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his consort, daughters, family, and disciples.

Because of Rinpoche’s long illness his newly built seat in America, Kunzang Palchen Ling, has at times struggled for funding. Undiscouraged by this, Rinpoche in addition took on responsibility for supporting all the activities of the Barom Kagyu, great and small. His example and dedication inspired all of us in our work. Although we had no opportunity to meet him in person, we were able to speak with him via the internet, greet him, and enquire as to his health.

Hearing of his passing, we are immeasurably sad. We can do no more than pray that all of his disciples, led by the retreat master Tashi Tobgyal, continue the activity of his seat just as it was when he was there; and offer you our assistance and support in this to the best of our ability.

Along with countless prayers that all obstacles to Rinpoche’s passage through the stages and paths be pacified, and that he become indivisible from the wisdom expanse of the dharma lord Gyalwa Barompa, this message is offered by the Barom Kagyu Buddhist Association at the Barom Kagyu Publishing House in Trindu on April 4, 2021.
