DONATE TO OUR 2010 MISSION TO TIBET
solar power stations installed in tibet with your support
The Night Into Day missions bring as many kinds of help as is possible at one time to the 4,000 people living in the remote villages and settlements that surround Raktrul Monastery in Eastern Tibet. Click on our Newsletters for details of our 2009 mission. The Ratkrul Foundation plans to return yearly.

We are on the ground now to help survivors of the devastating earthquake of April 2010. In future missions, we will bring doctors, equipment and medical supplies, we will encourage community involvement, train "back pack medics" to help those far from the nearest clinic, and make every effort to ensure that the people we serve can maintain and transform their communities after we are gone.

rural poverty in eastern tibet
Average cash income for rural Tibetan families we serve is between $182 & $640 US.

For most families, cash income comes from raising crops and working outside the home.

Most villagers do not have electric power and most all cannot afford to purchase power when available. We will help improve life in rural Tibet.

The Poverty Report

lack of care takes a toll on the elderly
tibetan villlagers need medical care
Almost all deliveries occur at home without trained health care providers to assist, putting both mothers and infants at serious risk of permanent injury or death.

Another cause of infant and child mortality is the lack of transportation to emergency medical care. Medicines and vaccinations are in short supply.

how we help
Raktrul Foundation has just completed solar installations at the Nunnery/Clinic,the Orphanage/School, the house at Raktrul, and the Community Center.

We are very pleased to report that our 2009 Medical mission was a success. Your donations made that success possible and we look forward to your support.
