The Raktrul Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization established in 2000 in Red Hook, New York, USA by the Venerable Bardor Tulku Rinpoche to address the many needs of the people living in the villages surrounding the Raktrul Monastery.
In general, The Raktrul Foundation seeks cash donations. Our liaison in Tibet, Mr. Tashi Dorje, is able to purchase needed items from cash donations thus saving freight & customs charges so that your donations do as much good as is possible.
At present, all donations to The Raktrul Foundation go to benefit the people in the villages surrounding Raktrul monastery. There are no administrative fees paid to the all volunteer staff of The Raktrul Foundation.
As the foundation grows, there may come a time when some donations are needed to for administrative supplies, or fundraising costs.

General funds are dispersed under the direction of The Venerable Bardor Tulku Rinpoche, founder & director of The Ratkrul Foundation.

Donations to the Children's Fund are used exclusively to benefit the orphans and school children in the Raktrul area.
Our liaison is able to purchase and distribute clothing and other materials the children need at a fraction of what it would cost to ship from the US.
