The Four Thoughts: Spurring our Practice
Talk by Lama Jim Kukula
Donation: $10
At the moment we have an extraordinary opportunity to practice virtue and cultivate the wisdom that can free us from the vicious cycle of suffering and confusion that has had us trapped since the beginning of time. But this extraordinary moment is like a bubble: it will vanish all too quickly. What happens after that is to the greatest degree a matter of the direction in which we have steered our behavior. What a tragedy it would be to waste this opportunity and remain trapped in delusion, where even the greatest pleasures are mixed with the poison of dualistic grasping. Reflecting on these thoughts can turn our minds to the Dharma and spur us in our practice.
