We often go through life counting our victories and regretting defeats. We struggle, hoping for a next success and fearing a loss. We think we know what would make our lives worthwhile: when we gain, life is as we want it; when we lose, we feel vulnerable.
What would happen if we took the “winning” and “losing” out of the equation? What if we had the courage to go through life without the pushing and pulling of those forces? Would we truly become vulnerable, or on the contrary, would that make us strong, fearless, invincible?
Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche shared advice on how we can develop confidence in leading a spiritual life beyond winning and losing; a life in which letting go of our conventional notions of victory and defeat allows them to take on a new meaning.
